What chair are you?

I am first chair in symphonic orchestra

What got you into playing?

I started playing the cello in fifth grade, after watching a beautiful cello solo performed at the “Symphony in the Flint Hills.”

What’s different about this year compared to previous years?

I mean, obviously COVID-19 makes a huge difference, for example, social distancing, we don’t have stand partners. This kind of sucks, because I really enjoy making jokes to my partner during orchestra, so I’ll be excited to have that back when this virus is gone.

Do you plan on continuing in college or later in life?

I’m most likely going to play through college, and probably be done after that.
