October 1, 2022
The Manhattan High Indians continue to advance through the undefeated season and are currently ranked number one in 6A and ranked number 4 in the state as of the fifth game of the season.
On Friday MHS traveled to Emporia to take on the Emporia High Spartans. Manhattan dominated the whole first half, shutting out the Spartans to go into the half leading 51-0. Manhattan started the second half with the J.V. team taking the field and finished off the game 58-7, leading to the 5-0 record.
“Games aren’t won on Fridays, they are won at practice,” senior Keenan Schartz said about his team’s effort on Friday.
MHS’s next game is on Friday at Junction City as they look to keep the Silver Trophy in Manhattan for another year.
