The Manhattan High Boys Swim team have competed in a total of eight meets since their season first began in November. They currently have a record of four overall wins of the eight meets.
The team has been intensely prepping for a total of two weeks getting ready for their next meet, League. Under the leadership of head coach Alex Brown and assistant coaches Cole McClure and Keith Birnbaum, the team has been pushing limits in and out of the pool with practices focused on endurance, strength and technique improvements.
All practices have been directed at each swimmer to get them to perform their best individually and as a team.
Many of the guys are hoping to drop time at this meet to get state cuts and compete in the State meet on Feb. 21 and 22 at Shawnee. Due to all the focus in practice many of the members are very optimistic that they will do well in both individual events as a team.
The League meet will be held at 4 p.m. on Feb. 14 in Topeka in the Capitol Federal Natatorium at 4:00pm.
