At 9:30 a.m., MHS Student Council hosted their second regional conference. They gathered StuCos from all over the Kansas region to discuss ideas and help unify the club.

“Every StuCo in different schools have different goals,”  senior and StuCo secretary Rachel Chang said. “But, overall, we could make an umbrella statement that it’s mostly about increasing involvement in the school.”

Some of the ideas that the regional conference discussed were Leadership Unplugged, community services ideas and how to better connect with the student body.

“You connect in a much better way,” State director David Cherry said. “Student Council is about your voice in your school, your voice for your students.”
