10 teams, 20 matches.

Girls Varsity tennis came back Monday with a sixth-place Centennial League finish after a long day at Kossover in Topeka. The team played six matches under a bracket system, hosted by Highland Park.

“I went 2-2 in pool play then won both of my bracket matches to get ninth,” senior Lexi Bieker said.

Senior Cathy Lei topped the MHS placings with third.

“I’m always excited to watch my teammates play,” senior Tracy Le said. “It’s amazing to see our hard work be a catalyst to success. I’m so proud of the entire team for putting so much effort and passion into this sport. I wouldn’t have gotten to know any of my teammates nearly as well as I have if it wasn’t for this sport and I love them all so much. They’re great people and I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this group.”
