It seems as though school just started yesterday, but some students already have next semester’s classes to start thinking about.

The Manhattan Area Technical College’s deadline to enroll in next semester’s classes is approaching fast and this upcoming semester is offering a new class available to Manhattan High students.

“We are adding psychology for second semester,” College and Career Readiness counselor Katie Ball said. “We were going to attempt to offer psychology in the fall and that kind of fell through…An instructor from MATC is actually going to come over and teach in our building and I believe that will be during first hour.”

Due to an overwhelming amount students enrolling and mistakes that occurred, Nov. 13 is the final day that MHS students can enroll in MATC courses to allow an adequate amount of time to get everything organized and together. The deadline for the Certified Nurse Aide class has an earlier deadline of Nov. 6.

To enroll in MATC classes, students can stop by the counseling office or they can access the course list and enrollment forms through the district website under the “About Our School” tab in the MHS section.
