Junior Bryce Easton shined above his senior teammates by placing fifth at the Class 6a state tennis meet. Bryce overcame many obstacles by staying consistent through his matches. He is a tough player to beat for a singles player. Bryce beat Cutter Sander, a player who beat him previously in the season and was able to finish with a 5-1 record.

“Sure, well I beat Cutter Sanders who is already lost to twice before 9-7.” Easton said. “I beat Billy Louiselle 9-5 to push me up to the top eight. I played Nathan Osborn from Washburn rural and won 9-6. For my last match, I played Anil Chakka who beat me in the first round and I won 9-6. Most of my opponents were bigger and stronger than me so I was forced to chase down a lot of balls. I played a consistent and didn’t miss any unnecessary shots.”
