Senior Hailey Vardiman is a videographer for Digital Media Publications.

Vardiman was in Kristy Nyp’s Advisory when she needed help with videography editing. The first time she did a livestream, she learned new things that made her want to be more invested in the class. She enjoyed how people expressed themselves in livestreams’ and she loved how being a videographer gives the chance to be more creative.

When Vardiman started Video Production class she immediately loved the opportunity of meeting new people. She seen how diverse it is and the different lives people live from Manhattan to Georgia, where she went for a national SkillsUSA video contest last summer. 

In Video Production Vardiman likes recording the small moments that people overlook. She doesn’t like how most people overlook the important things. 

“The sun hits the window at the right angle, hitting the eye that creates a beautiful color,” she said. 

When Vardiman isn’t in school she participates in rowing with her teammates and she listens to music. She’s also a reader and a poet.
